SCRAP CARDS

Do you ever find yourself not wanted to just throw away the left over patterned paper you bought for that special project.  You spent your money on it and the paper is just to pretty to just toss in the trash after that project you used it on.

I always found myself not wanting to toss any of them the scraps of  patterned paper as well as all the solid card stock no matter the size.  I have to admit that I always keep them all big and small.  I always fight with myself not wanting to toss it no matter the size.  I decided to make a few cards out of the strips I have in my stash of scraps.  All I did was take the scraps and cut them into strips of all widths.  Card base is standard A2 size cards the black piece is 1/4 " smaller and the white piece used to put the strips on is 1/4" smaller than the black.

Below you will find some samples of completed cards.

I also posted on my You Tube channel a video of me making the I Love You card.  Feel free to comment here or on my You Tube Channel and as always feel free to share with your family and friends.

I hope you enjoy it and I hope you have a wonderful day.  See you on the next post.

Christmas Card Donations Day 2

Today's Christmas Cards are simple white A2 card base with white 4" x 5 1/4"  layer popped up on  foam tape for some dimension on the card.  Both cards the ornament is punched out with a Stampin Up punch and a layer of glitter paper is adhered to the card underneath.

The label for the sentiment on this first card is made from a punch from Stampin Up and the background of the Sentiment is glitter paper and the one stamped with the Sentiment is on white card stock stamped in black ink. This card I made a total of 9.

This card is stamped right on the top layer of white card stock before putting the foam tape on. These cards I made a total of 23 cards.

Both cards are embellished with craft store ribbon that are the 2 or 3 for $1.00.

Feel free to share and link back your family and friends.

Christmas card donations Day 1

Over the holidays I decided to make Christmas cards for the local nursing home here in my local community.  I am going to share with you over the next 15 days the cards I made and delivered to the residents.  I didn't get paid for doing this it is just something I decided to do to make them feel better over the holidays.  I know some have family that they see and some of them have no one in which to make the holidays a little brighter.  The cards were not from me they are from the community.

As we grow up the "magic" of the season seems to get less and less, with all the running around to buy gifts and everything we have to do for the one day along with working and dealing with our normal everyday life.  We are always too busy to just enjoy the process and reason for the season.  I just wanted to bring back some glimmer of Magic back into someone's life.

A2 size card made from white card stock with embossed layer 4" x 5 1/4".

I made 18 cards of this design.

Santa Gift Tags

Since the rush of the holidays are over and the tree and decorations are down and put away, I just wanted to share with everyone over the next few days some of the items I made over the holidays.

Ever find yourself needing a Santa Tag for the BIG gifts that are under the tree or a tag that you can use year after year for that special someone.  I had an order to create some tags for 3 special kids and this  is what I came up with.  The desire was a tag from Santa that can be tied to the Santa Sacks some people use.  This can also be used for the over sized bike or gift bags.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

This tag is a simple tag with the TO: line left blank for the owner of the card to fill in or even have the child's name stamped in red as well.  Made from white card stock I had on hand as well as the red card stock I had on hand.  Santa stamped in corner the ribbon is from the craft store (the kind you get for $.33 per spool).  I had an old grommet that I set into the tag before feeding the ribbon through.

This one I made it was for the same order but this one was for the local homeless shelter that they were buying gifts for.  It was to go onto a sack that had gifts for that family's child.  Same supplies used for this tag as well.

I love the holidays and I enjoyed making this for the kids.

Feel free to share this post with your friends and family.
